Materine Establishment Act of 2025
Royal Decree-Law No. VIII-2025-06
On the Establishment of the Materine Church of Navassa
Issued under the Authority of Her Majesty Marie-Adélina the First, Sovereign of the Kingdom of Navassa
In the exercise of Our Prerogative Royal, guided by the enduring wisdom of the Divine Mother and the consent of Our Crown Council assembled, Do hereby decree, ordain, and enact the following Decree-Law:
ARTICLE I – Of the Established Faith
The Kingdom of Navassa hereby establishes Materine Orthodoxy—the veneration of the Divine Feminine, as manifest in the Great Mother, under Her many names and aspects—as the official religion of the Kingdom, in recognition of Her eternal guidance, nurturing spirit, and generative power.
The Materine Church of Navassa is hereby recognized as the Mother Church of the Materine Communion, charged with preserving its sacred teachings, leading its rites, and embodying its divine mission throughout the Realm and beyond.
ARTICLE II – Of the Supreme Head
The Sovereign of Navassa shall serve as the Supreme Governor of the Materine Church of Navassa.
The Sovereign of Navassa shall serve as Supreme Head of the Materine Communion, protector of its traditions, and earthly reflection of Her divine stewardship. They shall adopt the ceremonial title ‘Defender of the Faith’ to the register of their official title and style.
The Sovereign shall safeguard the unity of the Materine Communion, convene Church Materine Synods and appoint its leader or Secretary General as deemed necessary, and serve as final arbiter in matters of faith and ecclesiastical governance.
ARTICLE III – Of Ecclesiastical Governance
The Materine Church of Navassa shall be governed through a sacred hierarchy that combines structural clarity and cosmic liturgy, reflecting both terrestrial stewardship and celestial mystery.
The senior clerical office of the Church shall be the Archcurarix, Archcurator, or Archcurate of Cap-Paradis, serving as Primate of the Materine Church of Navassa and of the Materine Community, appointed with Royal Assent and entrusted with spiritual and administrative oversight of the Church throughout the Kingdom. The officeholder also holds jurisdiction over their High Custody or archcuratorial province.
Subordinate to Archcuratrix, Archcuratror, or Archcurate of Cap-Paradis shall be the following clerical ranks:
Archcuratrix, Archcurator, or Archcurate, appointed to lead various High Custody and sacred duties of compassion;
Curatrix, Curator, or Curate, ordained to lead worship and perform rites within local Sanctuaries and spiritual nourishment;
Mother, Father, or Guardian, entrusted to lead household shrines and community service.
All ecclesiastical offices within the Materine Communion are open to persons of all genders, as the Divine Mother manifests in multitudes.
The liturgical or ceremonial titles assigned to these roles for sacred rites and ecclesial functions shall be:
Each Archcurator shall be ceremonially known as a High Lunarch.
Each Curator shall be ceremonially known as a Lunarch.
Each Guardian / Mother / Father shall be known as a Radiant.
Novitiates under spiritual formation shall be known as Stellants.
These liturgical titles shall be used in sacred documents, rituals, religious publications, and ceremonial address, whereas structural titles shall be retained in official appointments, governance, and diplomatic representation.
The duality of this naming structure reflects the harmony between the divine and the earthly, the eternal and the temporal, and is a sacred mirror of the Materine belief in dual light: the Seen and the Unseen.
ARTICLE IV – Of Rites and Symbols
The sacred rites of Materism shall be enshrined in a book of devotions and prayers, authorized by the Sovereign and in agreement with the Church Materine Synod, including liturgies, prayers, feast days, and ancestral commemorations.
The Rose Star and the Conch Shell are declared sacred symbols of the Materine Communion and shall be borne upon ecclesiastical vestments and seals.
ARTICLE V – Of Recognition, Respect, and Rights
The Kingdom shall provide due honour and support to the Materine Church of Navassa in its sacred functions and in the maintenance of temples, shrines, and charitable works.
No subject shall be compelled to worship, nor penalized for divergence in belief, provided they act in peace and loyalty to the Realm.
The Constitution of the Kingdom of Navassa shall be amended to enshrine the establishment of the Materine Church of Navassa, while guaranteeing that the Church shall not infringe upon the rights of worship, conscience, or religious expression among the People of the Realm.
