Diplomatic Relations
The Kingdom of Navassa maintains diplomatic relations with fellow sovereign cultural movements and micronations that share our values. We do not seek recognition as a condition of our legitimacy — our sovereignty is grounded in lineage and the loyalty of our people. But we believe that relationships between movements, built on mutual respect and shared principle, are worth cultivating.
Treaty of Friendship
The Treaty of Friendship is Navassa's primary instrument of formal diplomatic recognition. It is not a formality — it is a commitment, and we take it seriously on both sides.
To be eligible, a prospective treaty partner must demonstrate:
Established Presence — at least five years of active existence, demonstrating stability and genuine commitment to their community and identity.
Digital Continuity — an active website and social media presence maintained for at least three years, ensuring ongoing accessibility and engagement.
Commitment to Equality — an unambiguous upholding of values that reject all forms of hatred or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, sex, gender, religion, or any other ground of marginalization. This is not negotiable.
Diplomatic Engagement — at least one year of active diplomatic relationship with Navassa, including regular correspondence between Heads of State or designated representatives.
