Concerning the Lapse, Dormancy, or Attainder of the Title of the Prince of Saint-Joseph
PREAMBLE
Whereas the dignity of nobility is a sacred trust between the Crown and those upon whom its honors are bestowed;
And whereas the title of the Prince de Saint-Joseph was lawfully created by Letters Patent dated 3 November 2025 and thereafter held by Monsieur Ryan Marshall, whose tenure has now ceased by reason of forfeiture;
And whereas it is the duty of the Crown, through her Officers, to maintain the purity and order of the Livre d’Or de la Noblesse de Navasse by striking therefrom all dignities no longer in lawful existence;
We, therefore, Marie-Adélina the First, Sovereign of Navassa, do by this Our Royal Decree-Law declare as follows:
ARTICLE I — Determination of Status
The title and dignity of Prince de Saint-Joseph is hereby declared to be forfeited.
Such declaration shall take immediate effect from the date of this Decree-Law.
ARTICLE II — Consequences
The said title shall cease to confer any precedence, privilege, or style within the Kingdom of Navassa.
All armorial bearings, coronets, or insignia pertaining thereto shall be withdrawn from public or ceremonial use.
Any successor or claimant shall, upon presenting lawful cause, petition the Court of Arms of Navassa for restoration or revival as provided under Royal Decree-Law No. 21-2025.
ARTICLE III — Entry into the Livre Noir de la Pairie
The Herald-Marshal of the Realm is hereby commanded to inscribe this decree in the Livre Noir de la Pairie, together with the particulars of its cause and date.
The entry shall bear:
The full name of the title;
The name of the last lawful holder;
The reason for lapse, dormancy, or attainder;
The date and reference number of this Decree-Law; and
The seals of the Crown and the Heraldic Office.
ARTICLE IV — Possibility of Restoration
In cases of dormancy or lapse, the Crown may, upon new evidence or petition, restore or re-create the title by Letters Patent under the Great Seal.
Titles entered for attainder may be rehabilitated only by express Royal Pardon or an Act of Grace.
ARTICLE V — Notification and Publication
The decree shall be deemed published on the date of its appearance in the Gazette.
